Open House Business Mixer

The Vermont Slauson Economic Development Corporation (VSEDC) proudly hosted an Open House Reception on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at its headquarters in the heart of the South Los Angeles community. “We are honored to open our doors to our banking partners, friends, and community members to highlight the renovations that we have made to our headquarters,” said VSEDC President & CEO Joseph T. Rouzan III. “Beyond the improvements to the physical structure, we’re excited that our programs continue to evolve and improve, thereby serving as vital tools for South LA businesses.”

With flavorful, authentic New Orleans cuisine served by Harold & Belle’s coupled with the sweet sounds of the David Patterson Band, guests danced and toured the facilities with dynamic work from local artists on display. To further inspire guests to network and engage, the mixer also featured a mobile cigar lounge facilitated by COG CIGAR Society. With an auction to up the excitement, the evening ended with a supporter taking home an oil on canvas created by Vanessa Rivera, www.vjrivera.com , post card prints by Alex Risby, framed painting by Keith Collins and personalized floor mat by Von Thomas. “We’re proud of our new and improved home,” said Rouzan. “Our supporters are always welcome to stop by and share the wealth of info with others in our thriving community.”
